Bridal Makeup Classes in TaiWan

It is hard to find a makeup artist in San Diego, who understands Asian features and knows how to enhance them. I could not find one last year, so I did makeup for myself on our wedding day.

I have learned bridal makeup in Hong Kong from a professional makeup artist. I knew basic skills already, but I still learned a lot new, useful, and amazing techniques from the instructor. She is very patient and organized. I enjoyed the class so much!

One thing I learned from my makeup instructor in Hong Kong is that we have to improve ourselves continuously. So, I decided to take some more classes. When I was doing research, I found that the TaiWan style bridal makeup focusing on enhancing Asian features, 'opening' up the eyes, perfecting the face color tone and conditions, vanishing the dark circles and pimples, etc. You Know, changing the color of our eyelids can't make us be more beautiful.

I have been learning a lot from a famous makeup artist in TaiWan. She was in the newspaper and magazine many times. Her work is very impressive, so I decided to take some makeup classes from her. When I arrived there, she recommended me to learn bridal hair style which is very challenging but also very interesting. I always think the hair style in TaiWan is the best, so her recommendation was taken! =)

Hope that what I have learned can help the brides in the future.

Special thank to my good friend, Cherrie, who sacrificed her precious travel time for being my model!

just have one eye done... =p

Good Food in TaiWan

It was a such wonderful experience in Tai Wan.
Good people, good makeup classes, good food, good stores = good time

I miss the noodles a lot even though we were standing on the street while we were eating! definitely eat it again if I have a chance to re-visit Taipei!

The big bowl is only NT$55 (~US$1.6) and the small one is only NT$40 (~US$1.2)

陶板和風料理: good service and good food at low price. Highly recommend!

Friesland Caramel Cheese Tart.

I like this restaurant not only because of the tasty food, but also the love in the family. There is a little boy helping out his parents in the restaurant. I always think that parents should be teaching their children to be a responbile and reliable person rather than only teaching them to enjoy the material world.

陽明山 which is very beautiful. Thanks Cherrie's and her friends for taking us there.

北大行 is very famous too. We ate 小籠包, 燒賣, 紅豆包, fire rice...

臺灣特色吃:

大腸包小腸

The service is very good here!

愛玉 - I love the one mixing with red bean and lemon juice. I fell in love with it after I continued shopping hours under the sun!

肉圓與沾醬

太陽餅&鳳梨酥 I wish I could buy more!

Learn How to Pray

As a Christian, I have been praying for a long time but it seems like in lack of strength sometimes.

Prayer is conversation between God and us; however, I have been praying too formal and with no heart. Gradually, I lost my direction and concentration.

Pastor Ho reminded us that everything God wants us to know can be found in bible. Bible teaches us how to pray!

Psalms 65 and 84

When we praise God in our prayers, do we just repeat the same few things? Is it because we don't know God well enough?

After getting to know more about God and learning how to praise God in my prayers, I see my sins, then I repent. When I am praising God, I see God's promises, then I can hold God's promises to extend His kingdom through my life.

Thank God for sending Pastor Ho to our church today! I have learned a lot!
